Reserve Educational Assistance (REAP)

June 19th, 2011 | No Comments »

The Department of Defense has a new education benefit available to certain reservists. REAP (Reserve Educational Assistance Program) provides educational assistance to those who’ve served active duty for at least 90 days beginning on or after September 11, 2001. The amount of assistance is determined by a percentage of the Montgomery GI Bill-Active Duty (MGIB) rate based on the number of consecutive days of service.

For information on these benefits you can call 1-888-GI-BILL-1 or by visiting the REAP website: http://gibill.va.gov/post-911/other-programs/reap.html.
